Google Distributes an Application Programming Interface that Streamlines Election and Trending Information
The Google Civic Information API enables streaming election information for developers and websites. The API is already integrated and used in various election related websites.

The company states that “you can also look up polling places, early vote location, candidate data and other election official info.” The monopoly may select who may use it by defining terms of use, pricing, credits and setting back and forth rules that may suit their political agenda. The people and algorithms that decide what is “official information” and what is non-confirmed information are also set by the company. Search engine integration and the timing, banning and prioritization of information and trends news, events and numeric data may affect public opinion and the dynamics of election litigation, ballot harvesting efforts, signature comparison “sloppiness” , tabulation practices and transparency.
